 In Laganas there is a
very small gay community, in fact it is very small for
the whole of Zante. But over the last few years, there
has been an increase of gay people to Zante. It is now
not that uncommon to see same sex couples walking
around, along the beach or in clubs and bars. As the
world becomes more and more cosmopolitan, so has Zante.
 There are no real gay beaches, but there are some
nudist/ discrete beaches in the more discrete areas of
Zante. One is not so far from Laganas, at the far end of
Kalamaki beach (Vrontonero
Beach), in a small secluded
cove. There are others around, such as
Dafni beach and
some parts of the many secluded beaches.
